District Manager - Emeryville, CA:

Title Nine is looking for a District Manager to join our growing team! Reporting to the director of retail operations, the District Manager is responsible for the profit and loss performance of 10-12 stores. The district manager is responsible for hiring, training and support of teams in delivering on-going legendary customer service, maintaining the Title Nine brand, store merchandising, and exemplary employee relations and training aimed at ensuring the profitability of stores. District managers visit each store frequently enough to ensure a formal review of performance, teams, and other measurements.

Essential duties include:

• Sales focused. Accountable for driving metrics in stores for maximum sales potential
• The DM will sign off on yearly, monthly, and weekly sales budgets in partnership with the Director of Stores
• P&L focused
• Accountable for all controllable expenses by store, and works with the Director of Retail on reducing costs on all P&L expense lines
• Accountable for setting the budget in partnership with Director of stores and ultimately meeting all budgeted numbers
• Ensures that all brand, operations, presentation, training, and management standards are met
• Recruits, hires, trains and develops store managers. Helps store managers ensure timely recruitment and training of retail sales people
• Sets benchmarks and timelines for performance and manages to those time lines
• Analyzes financial data to recognize trends, build on strengths, support weak areas and note any unusual occurrences. Trains store managers in recognizing and influencing their business by understanding financial reports, and acting on the knowledge.
• Mentors Store Managers to be a presence in their community by providing an outlet for a local events and community participation
• District Manager will be the lead on new store openings in their district from hiring a team to store set up in partnership with the New Store Opening project lead and visual merchant
• Travel required—up to 50%

Qualifications and Skills include:

• Results driven
• A minimum of two years experience as a multi-unit manager for a high quality/high customer service retailer
• Demonstrated ability to identify and delegate tasks appropriately so stores operate profitably and team members grow
• Ability to develop, coach, train, and motivate Store Managers
• Experience in recruiting, merchandising, and employee development (including the development of assistants to managers)
• Must live in one of our core retail markets

Visual Manager - Emeryville, CA:

Title Nine is a leading multi-channel retailer of women's athletic apparel and gear. We are everyday athletes and fitness fanatics passionate about our brand and the impact that sports and the pursuit of fitness have on our lives. We are on the lookout for a Visual Manager to lead the development of a visual merchandising strategy consistent with The Title Nine brand to drive retail sales. This position will interact closely with Retail, Creative, Inventory Planning and Merchandising teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create a highly compelling visual presentation that will represent the Title Nine brand and drive retail sales-creating the floor plans and window displays for all floor set changes in conjunction with email campaigns, catalog drops, sales volume and inventory level changes & new store openings
• Work closely with Creative and Merchandising team to develop signage and overall retail collateral
• Work closely with Creative and Merchandising team to ensure all visual execution at the store level represents the Title Nine brand
• Train Retail Managers on visual merchandising programs and ongoing follow-up with Retail Managers to ensure proper execution
• Work closely with Inventory Planning and Merchandising team to create assortment by store and respond to sales trends and inventory levels maximizing retail sales
• Keep on top of visual merchandising market trends and identify new opportunities to evolve our visual merchandising programs

Requirements:

• Athletic apparel product user with prior Visual Merchandising retail experience essential
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Positive outlook, enthusiastic and open to the ideas of others
• Ability to travel out of town as needed—up to 50% during peak seasons
• Strong business acumen with a well developed understanding of balancing aesthetic versus cost and return on investment
• Collaborative with a sense of humor

We are looking for someone who is energetic, flexible, self-motivated, outgoing, friendly and has a good sense of humor. As always, a passion for fun, fitness and sports is our number one requirement. Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn are essential as well.

As a Key Holder you will be called upon to support your team with opening and closing duties, sales, cash management and scheduling. You'd also assist in the supervision of the store during down times and breaks and lunches. Attention to detail is a must!
